As a support unit, Robin doesn't introduce entirely unique buffs, as her abilities are similar to those of previously existing characters like Ruan Mei. She can increase ATK, DMG, and Crit DMG buffs. However, unlike Ruan Mei, she doesn't excel in Weakness Break efficiency. Instead, Robin synergizes well with follow-up ATK-oriented characters and can serve as a sub-DPS character to some extent. During the 3-turn duration of her Ultimate, she deals Physical ATK after other allies perform an ATK. While in this state, Robin cannot perform any actions, making her skill-point neutral . Additionally, upon entering her Concerto state, she advances all allies' turns. With her ability to provide team-wide buffs, Robin is highly versatile and particularly useful for teams relying on multiple DPS/sub-DPS charact
Ruan Mei is the first ever 5-star limited Harmony character to be released in Honkai: Star Rail . Despite powerful options like Sparkle and Robin appearing during the Trailblazers' journey in Penacony, she has remained a solid support character. Her utility has increased even further with the addition of strong DPS units like Boothill and Firefly, and she also has excellent synergy with Harmony
Pela is another exceptional 4-Star, thanks to her ability to remove buffs from enemies. Many boss enemies in Honkai: Star Rail rely heavily on buffing themself to snowball into the player and keep battles quick and decisive. However, some playstyles require battles to be drawn out longer, and Pela is essential to any team this rings true
At E2, Ruan Mei remains a valuable asset with a permanent ATK bonus for allies when attacking Weakness Broken enemies. This is generally useful if the main DPS character scales with ATK and focuses on reducing the toughness of the enemy. However, it's worth noting that while characters like Firefly benefit from ATK scaling (and convert ATK to Break Effect), her kit revolves around Super Break, which doesn't typically scale from Crit or ATK values. Even so, the ATK bonus indirectly helps in such setups since she can make good use of ATK% buffs unlike Flat ATK buffs from other allies. However, the value is still not as significant or versatile as
Gepard and Bailu are perfect examples. Gepard is an incredible shielder by all means, and Bailu offers both a party heal and a single revive that can give the player a very secure safety net. Though they are powerful enough support units to carry a player through much of the early game, they have fallen off in the metagame over time thanks to other characters simply performing their roles to an even greater ext
Guinaifen can apply DoTs to multiple enemies at once. Though it doesn't add up to a lot of damage, it makes her a useful asset to some of the game's stronger DoT characters. Serval also has niche roles on mono-Electric and DoT teams thanks to her ability to extend the Shock effect, but does not present much value otherw
For Boothill, the build might be considered rather more complicated compared to Robin, since he combines a traditional DPS build, which typically involves Crit Rate, Wuthering waves update Crit DMG, and ATK%, with Break Effect. Given this, players have more stats to pay attention to, with Break Effect taking the most priority among main stats or set effect bonuses. Boothill will benefit from combining sets that provide Break Effect, such as Thief of Shooting Meteor and Watchmaker, Master of Dream Machinations. There isn't much flexibility in this regard, except for considering Champion of Streetwise Boxing as a 2-piece instead. For Planar Ornaments, he is also not as versatile as Robin, though this is expected from DPS characters generally. He can best make use of Rutilant Arena to increase his Basic ATK DMG even further. Considering that Boothill doesn't gain Crit Stats through his traces, reaching a 70% Crit Rate threshold can further increase the difficulty of min-maxing this character. Overall, however, if most attention is put on Break Effect through main stats or even light cone options, sub-stat min-maxing can be made a little eas
Blade and Imbibitor Lunae can both alternate between dealing damage to an area of effect or single enemies. Blade has a self-damage mechanic that enhances his damage drastically. Imbibitor Lunae can consume multiple Skill Points at once in exchange for peerless dam
The next cutscene will involve The Traveler, Paimon, and Itto jumping out in front of a few kids to scare them. Your group will run away, thinking they are ghosts, to which Itto suggests splitting up and finding them again. Head to the next location nearby to a tree. There will be a mysterious unknown woman here, calling herself 'Chizuru,' who will make you pass
Released on Steam & Itch.io back in September 2023, Franzen is a small, indie-developed JRPG that is considered a sort of "hidden-gem" among its fan base. From its interesting lore to its unique steampunk aesthetic, this retro-style JRPG is dripping with unique charac
